Suggest a Purchase

On this page, you can submit a form to suggest purchases for books, audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, and audiovisual items.

Please note: Purchase decisions are made in accordance with the Jersey City Free Public Library’s standards and policies. Due to budget constraints and collection development goals, not every suggested item may be acquired, as its usefulness to our collection is a primary consideration. To have your suggestion considered, you must be a Jersey City Free Public Library member.

Use this form to recommend a title for our collection. However, before you do, please:

• Verify that the title is not already available by checking our online catalog (Jersey City Free Public Library Catalog). We encourage recommendations for titles that are not currently in our catalog.
• Limit your suggestions to titles published within the last 12 months.

If you are interested in an older publication or a title that might have limited appeal to the broader community, please get in touch with a reference librarian. They can assist you in requesting the item through interlibrary loan.
