Nineteenth Century Newspapers
Over twenty newspaper titles published in Hudson County from 1829-1889, totaling over 75,000 pages, have been newly digitized from microfilm and are freely browsable and searchable online. Combined with the digital Jersey [Evening] Journal available with a library card and the Jersey City News at the Library of Congress site, all known 19th-century Hudson County newspapers are now available digitally.
