Priscilla Gardner Main Library Bonetti Children’s Rooms Manager Nicole Zimmerman Selected for Emerging Leaders Program
Jersey City Free Public Library (JCFPL) proudly shares that Nicole Zimmerman, Priscilla Gardner Main Library Bonette Children’s Rooms Manager, has been selected for the New Jersey Library Association Emerging Leaders Program (NJLA).
The Emerging Leaders Program is open to early-career librarians. As part of the program presenters with various backgrounds within the NJ library community and beyond will lead discussions and interactive sessions that will encourage attendees to learn about leadership, explore their own leadership style while networking with other emerging leaders.
Nicole shares her excitement for the Program, “I am excited to continue my professional education with the Emerging Leaders program! I am a life-long learner, and I truly believe that the more I invest in myself, the more I can give to the JCFPL staff and patrons. I am also excited to network with other early career librarians; I am hoping to build a community to that shares ideas and library joy!”
Nicole was first inspired to become a librarian by her two grandmothers, who were also librarians. She saw this field as an opportunity to combine her love for reading with her desire to serve her community daily. Public service is what fills her cup!
