National Financial Literacy Month with JCFPL

This April Jersey City Free Public Library is celebrating National Financial Literacy Month! Financial literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing.
JCFPL is dedicated to supporting Community Well-Being by offering resources and programs that promote financial literacy. Financial literacy is essential for making informed decisions, managing money effectively, and building a secure future.
Join us for our upcoming programs that focus on financial literacy:
- Thinking Money for Kids Program Kit: Jersey City Free Public Library has been selected to receive a Thinking Money for Kids Program Kit. We encourage parents to visit the library to check out a Playaway Launchpad tablet to bring home. These brand-new tablets are pre-loaded with fun financial education games and don’t require a home internet connection.  Â
- M&T Bank – Money Mentor Program: Identity Theft: JCFPL is happy to partner with M&T Bank to present the “Money Mentor” series, a monthly session covering a variety of financial topics. This session will focus on Identity Theft, and how to effectively protect your identity from scams.
- Future Founders Academy (for kids): Interested in business, finance, or math? Join the academy to learn about business concepts, finance, investing and product pitching.
