Donate to Jersey City Free Public Library Foundation Before 2024 Ends
Jersey City Free Public Library Director Terry B. Hill reflects on another successful year with our patrons, “As we approach the end of 2024, I want to thank you for supporting Jersey City’s most valuable Lifelong Learning resource, the Jersey City Free Public Library (JCFPL). I am grateful to serve a community that values libraries, especially during a time when our fundamental right to read and explore our intellectual curiosities is being questioned.”
An End of Year Appeal from your Jersey City Free Public Library Family
Dear Jersey City Community,
This year has been a testament to the power of collaboration and our commitment to put our Community First. To further this commitment into 2025 we are asking for your support to help JCFPL Foundation raise $125,000. These funds will allow us to expand Bookmobile services throughout Jersey City. Our goal is to improve access to books and resources for all residents, ensuring that everyone in our community can benefit from library offerings.
A new bookmobile equipped with the latest technology will open a world of possibilities for our community. Not only will it bring books to underserved areas, but it will also offer:
- Wi-Fi and digital resources for those who don’t have internet access at home.
- Improved mobile computer stations to help with job applications, resume building, and access to government services.
- Interactive learning tools for children and families, ensuring educational resources are available to all, no matter where they live.
The bookmobile is vital in connecting individuals with library services, particularly for those facing transportation or physical difficulties, such as seniors and families without dependable transportation. A new bookmobile will ensure that all residents of Jersey City have equal access to learning and opportunities.
