The Jersey City Free Public Library Celebrates Children’s Authors and Illustrators Week

This week honors the authors and illustrators who craft stories and images that ignite the imaginations of young readers. To celebrate this week, the JCFPL showcases several key resources that connect children with the wonder of reading and learning:

  • NoveList K-8 Plus: An essential tool for discovering age-appropriate books, offering recommendations, read-alikes, and reviews tailored to younger readers.
  • ABCmouse: An interactive online learning program for children ages 2-8, which covers a wide range of subjects in a fun, engaging format.
  • Miss Humblebee’s Academy: An interactive online early literacy program that provides a comprehensive, step-by-step approach to learning for young children.
  • Beanstack: A personalized service that helps families discover books and apps based on children’s ages and interests, encouraging reading and engagement.

The JCFPL is dedicated to enhancing children’s literacy and fostering a lifelong love of reading. We invite families, educators, and young readers to explore these resources and participate in related library events during Children’s Authors and Illustrators Week. 📢 Important Update: The Communipaw Branch Library is closed today. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We are currently experiencing an issue where some patrons with Yahoo email addresses may not receive email notifications from our system, SIRSI. SIRSI is actively working to resolve this problem, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
