Celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the Jersey City Free Public Library (JCFPL) by delving into the many achievements of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders throughout history. We are honored to provide collections of resources that highlight the achievements of these communities. 

Since the JCFPL was established in 1889 we have been dedicated to serving as a center for growth and learning in Jersey City, providing programing and resources that serve our diverse patrons as part of our Community First commitment.

In observance of Labor Day, all JCFPL locations will be closed on Saturday, August 31, and Monday, September 2. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 3 during regular hours.

The Pavonia branch will have a delayed opening for Staff Development on August 30, 2024, and will be open at 10:00 am.
