Communipaw Branch Library Now Open!

Jersey City Free Public Library is thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new Communipaw Branch Library. Located at 295 Johnston Avenue and designed by the City of Jersey City Division of Architecture, it will bring JCFPL to 11 locations throughout the city. With its grand opening, the Communipaw Branch Library will become a vibrant addition to the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood by providing valuable resources that promote lifelong learning. Visit branch page here.

This branch will serve as a facility with a primary focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Communipaw Branch Library will provide a wide range of STEAM programming, offering hands-on workshops for all ages. With access to tools like a 3D printer, magnet and pinback button design as well as a fully equipped podcast studio complete with video cameras and a music recording setup, patrons can explore a variety of creative projects.

📢 Important Update: The Communipaw Branch Library is closed today. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We are currently experiencing an issue where some patrons with Yahoo email addresses may not receive email notifications from our system, SIRSI. SIRSI is actively working to resolve this problem, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The Pavonia branch will have a delayed opening for Staff Development on August 30, 2024, and will be open at 10:00 am.
