Celebrate Women’s Equality Day with JCFPL
Celebrate Women’s Equality Day with JCFPL! On this special day, we commemorate the hard-won progress toward gender equality and honor the courageous women who have paved the way. Women’s Equality Day commemorates the 1920 adoption of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits the states and federal government from denying the right to vote to any citizens on the basis of sex.
Established in 1889, the JCFPL has proudly served as a dynamic center for growth and learning in Jersey City for over 120 years. As the largest municipal library in the State of New Jersey, in one of the most diverse cities in the country we prioritize fostering a Welcoming Space for all our patrons as part of our Purpose and Commitments initiative which represent our unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and serving the evolving needs of our Jersey City community.
