Aspire seeks to uplift the next generation of learners and leaders through a robust supplementary education program, completely free to school-aged patrons.

This includes the expansion of the existing JCFPL Tutoring Program and establishment of Homework Hubs and college preparation courses.

According to a 2019-2023 report, 21% of children in Hudson County are living below the federal poverty level as compared to a 13% state average. This initiative will help ensure that all students, regardless of their ability to afford tutoring and test prep, have equal access to academic support. According to a 2024 report on students who met or exceeded expectations on NJSLA Highschool Math Exams, Hudson County students scored below state average in Algebra I and II (31% and 39% vs. 40% and 70%) (Kids Count Data Center).

Economic barriers to academic success continue to rise; those who cannot afford to keep up are often left behind. By providing free tutoring, test prep, and college application assistance, we are leveling the playing field for Jersey City students.

  • Mission: Our mission is to provide free, supplemental education services to the next generation of learners and leaders, students in Jersey City.
  • Vision:  A city where all students can succeed academically no matter their socioeconomic background.
