'Stay Sharp for Your Next Job Interview'
The Tiebrary, in fulfilling an important community need, exists to support someone who lacks the funds to purchase a necktie for a crucial job interview or other important event by offering an assortment of ties for borrowing. “The Miller Branch is our first pilot,” stated Library Director Priscilla Gardner. “If this is successful, we will ask Five Corners, Greenville and the Cunningham Branches to introduce the Tiebrary.”
Starting with 178 ties, the Miller Branch accepts donations of ties for the Tiebrary, which is located on the first floor near the Circulation Desk, and uses inventory barcoding on all ties, the tracking system used with all other library materials for borrowing. No more than two ties may be checked out for three days, and if more time is needed, patrons may ask for extensions. Borrowed ties are dry clean only. Late, and lost or stolen fees apply.
